Description:
Paula is a wolf girl who owns the Bridge Café - a business passed to her by her parents (who took early retirement) roughly ten years before the story starts. The café is popular among tourists, as it is situated near to the Phoenixbrook suspension bridge, with a very good view of it. The café is also frequently visited by the market traders, since it is within easy walking distance of the marketplace.
So the café does well owing to its location, but also because Paula herself is extremely friendly and bubbly, so she is always popular among the customers. She always appears energetic and cheerful, and nothing is too much trouble for her. She has a keen interest in the Phoenixbrook market and its history, and collects stories about the place, as well as old photos, some of which decorate the café walls.
Though she is always outwardly happy and confident, Paula does sometimes feel very lonely at night once the customers have all gone and she has to head upstairs, where she lives alone. She has never found anyone special to share her life with, and fears she might never fall in love. Mostly the café and people keep her busy so it doesn't get to her too often, but sometimes at night it can prove too much.
