Orona Red some might think it an unusual name but he doesn't he quite likes it but then it is his name so it is to be expected. Surprisingly enough the name reflects in part who and what Orona is. He is a Hedgehog of the English variety but his spines and fur are coloured naturally red. His fur is a light red on his arms legs and torso while his spines which reach from his head down to his tail are a deeper red much more so then his fur. His spines themselves seem to live a life of there own, most times they appear soft though they have been known to stand erect and solid presenting a dangerous weapon and effective protection. They run all along his back and sides, from his full head of spines to his tail. Now most people might ask why does a Hedgehog have a tail? And they would not be wrong to do so either but Orona is no normal Hedgehog but we will get to that later. If you want to see Orona and what he looks like then check the picture to the left.

Heeee doesn't he look cute. Anyway enough on what he looks like I'm sure you are all bursting to find out just what he is like. Orona is a witty, kind charming furson; he is protective of his friends and an enjoyable fur to spend time with. He also has a large random streak, which can lead to rather unusual statements and activities from this unusual hedgehog. Orona is also a computer programming mastermind, his skills with computer out reach anyone else his friends know and though he is modest about it he really is a great programmer and computer expert.

Ok, ok stop pestering me, I'll tell you his juicy secrets now if you'll let me, sheesh some people really have no patience. Now as you might have noticed something doesn't quite ring true about this hedgehog, when someone thinks of a hedgehog they think, brown fur and spines and no real tail to speak of then they see Orona and take a double take. Usually the first thing a person says on meeting Orona for the first time 'He's red? But he is a hedgehog' which usually gets the answer, 'That's ok you're a (insert your species) your easily confused try not to think about it too much in case you hurt yourself'' from Orona which generally gets a laugh.

Anyway that aside Orona's mysterious colouring, he is not in truth a hedgehog, there are not many who know this but he is a thixotropic being, now most of you are now going what the hell does thixotropic mean, well it is simple really. Orona is not made of flesh and blood like others but of a sentient substance known as thixotropic fluid. It is a malleable shape changing substance completely under the control of Orona, he can form himself into anything he really wishes if it is of the same mass as himself or he can split himself up into separate masses and still control them for up to fifteen feet. Now for reasons unknown to anyone but himself Orona defaults as a hedgehog but coloured red instead of the traditional brown and he has an affection for his long fluffed up tail as well. Orona can use his unusual abilities for a variety of purposes from changing his form, reaching a high place by extending his arms or slipping into a room through a keyhole like in so many old movies. Orona keeps his abilities hidden from all and sundry and only a few of his close friends know of his 'silicon based origins' as he once jokingly put it. So there you have him a rather unusual but lovably cute hedgehog by the name of Orona who really can mould himself to suit any situation.
