The Small city of T'Ral was not one of the best places in the galaxy. A young lady skunk looked over the city. She came down the transport ships boarding ramp. She was wearing a dark cape and hood. The weather was bad as it was raining hard, the sky was black, but it didn't matter much to her.

"Are you sure you want to get off here, Miss. T'Ral is not a very nice place" said the ships boarding officer.

"As I have said before I have business here" replied the Skunkett.

"I can only hope it's extremely profitable business. You certainly won't find anything rewarding about the night life here's about's" replied the officer.

The young woman left the ship.

The building the Skunkett was leaning against was old. It was not one of the best places she had ever seen. She was wearing a black form hugging outfit. The building was perfect to watch things from. There was four stories and a few balcony openings.

"Just a droid guard, probably couldn't find anyone willing to stand watch out here in this pouring rain" commented the Skunkett.

Her name was Silhouette, she had been born some twenty six years ago. Her mother and father had both died in a ground car accident. She'd been put into an orphanage, she grew up there she was about seven. Then a extremely large company called Gal-Tech took her under their wing. She had been trained and taught to a high level as an assassin. She had worked for them ever since. Her first kill had been when she was sixteen. She was also known as Silver. She had primed an acid bomb which she threw it to the droid the bomb went off. There was a flash of neon green as it exploded and the droid went off line. Silver went up to the droid and tapped it.

"Perfect out cold, now to find Hauman"

Silver forced a nearby door and entered the hallway. She quickly dealt with the alarm. The hallway was dark there was plenty of room and dark shadows to hide in. She placed two charges down in a dark corner and activated them.

"That should cause some diversion while I get at Hauman"

As she moved she spotted two guards up ahead. She tossed a stun grenade in between the two. It went off in a white flash both guards hit the floor with a thump.

"Guards, not as stupid as I thought then. Sorry boys, but a girl's gotta do, what she has to"

Silver made her way towards the end of the hallway. The next room was filled with art and expensive sculptures. She open a large chest and found what seemed to be a few million credits. It was all in credit chits. A raccoon male sat watching a holo-vid.

"David Hauman?" called out Silver.

The Raccoon male turned around. He was wearing expensive cloths. There was a gold chain running to one of the tops pockets.

"Yes, I'm Hauman. What do you want?" asked the Raccoon.

"The charge is Grand embezzlement of Gal-Tech funds. Do you have anything to say in your defence?" asked Silver.

"Juts a moment, there's millions here. Perhaps we can strike a deal?"

"The sentence is death, to be carried out immediately" commented Silver.

A blaster was in her had like a flash, she fired and a blue beam shot from the blaster and hit Hauman in the chest. He flew across the room and landed against the wall with a surprised look on his face.

The ship was waiting on the pad as arranged, final boardings were starting. Silver started up the ramp.

"We'll I'll be, did you decide to come with us after all" said the boarding officer.

"You where right, the night life here is quite dull after all" replied Silver.

Not long afterwards the boarding ramp was retracted and the hatch closed. Silvers cabin was larger than most and she got into bed. She was always tired after a mission. The room was lightly furnished with a bunk, and a small desk with a computer terminal. There was two upholstered chairs and couch. As Silver fell asleep she felt the ship jump into hyperspace.

The massive Gal-Tech buildings dominated the skyline of Doran, on New Titan. The buildings shone in the early morning sunlight. Silver looked down to the white and transi-steel buildings from a blue and white Gal-Tech shuttlecraft.

"How long till we land Pilot?" asked Silver.

"Not long now, Mistress" replied the Pilot.

Silver was thinking about her parents, it had been a long time since she had ever thought of them. The shuttle came in and landed on the pad of one of the buildings. A set of steps was put in place as the shuttle's hatch opened and Silver stepped out. A lion in a gold and blue uniform stepped up to her.

"The director will see you tomorrow morning, Silhouette" commented the Lion.

"Very well, I'm going to my rooms" replied Silhouette.

Silhouette sat in front of the computer terminal. Her rooms where furnished well and there was nothing she wanted for, but for male companionship. She had someone only she knew about. He was in computer systems and splicing. His name was Tarin. Silhouette relaxed and looked to the computer.

"Computer, search all planetary computer archives for the name Talanta"

"Searching, this will take a few moments, please wait"

Silhouette got up and went into the kitchen. She popped a snack into the cooking unit from the top of the unit near the cooker. She turned it on an went back to the computer.

"Joval and Leta Talanta, birthdates unknown. Died in a ground car accident in 2068. One survivor, Mara Talanta born 2050, current location unknown, orphanage file 148526-C/178. Other files secured by Gal-Tech Information Services"

"Is that everything computer?"

"Correct, no other files found"

Silhouette put her head on her arms.

"Thank you Tarin, I might have found my family"

"Tarin?" called Silhouette.

"I'm here, waiting for you lover" called a voice.

A Fox came around a corner wearing a Tuxedo and black bow tie. He was a young fennec with a few white patches of fur here and there. Silhouette was wearing a black strapless gown.

"You look fantastic, Silhouette" said the Fox.

"You don't look to bad yourself Tarin" replied Silhouette.

"I hope you don't mind me choosing where to go, I thought the Sky Palace?"

"that's expensive, Tarin. You sure you can afford it?"

"Yes I can afford it and the best news is it's not owned by Gal-Tech"

The two left the massive building in Tarin's air car. he journey took just over an hour. The shining towers and spires of the city where light up in the evening sun. Here and there cargo ship took off from pads and went into high orbit. Ahead on one of the larger more ornate buildings was the Sky Palace. It was one of the more know places to dine and dance and was still owned by the family that had set it up.

"Silhouette, you very quite, is about the files I got you?"

"Is..is this car clear?"

"Yes it is why?"

"Tarin the files you gave me, they confirmed what I thought. I'm now sure that Gal-Tech murdered my parents. There was no accident, it was deliberate and calculated"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes and I'm getting out"

"What will you do?"

"Not sure yet, I might join the Galactic Police, or go bounty hunting. You'd make a great splicer, you have the skills.

"Silhouette?"

"Call me Silver, please Tarin"

"Silver?"

"Yeah you know, quick fast, like quick sliver. So Silver"

"Oh yes, that was a name for mercury, quick silver. Kind of witty"

"You know sooner or later they will notice us. They will make me kill you Tarin. I think they already know. I won't kill you never we should get out tonight"

The Fox gulped audibly and took a quick look at the Skunkette.

"I won't go without you, I love you. I want to go with you Tarin"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah I can teach you everything there is, but first there's something I need to take care of"

"What?" asked Tarin as he set the air car down on the buildings pad.

"I'm going to kill the director of Gal-Tech before sunrise"

"Why, you could get killed yourself Silver"

"For my father and mother.....for me, perhaps revenge also"

The car landed and the two left the car. A repulsor lift took the car to a garage down below the upper building. A attendant gave Tarin a reclaim ticket. The two walked into the Sky Place. A young Tiger morph was waiting at the entrance. He was also wearing a tuxedo. The palace it's self was made from transisteel and several vaulted columns. There where tables and chairs of the finest fabrics to be bought and many fine table cloths. There were a few privet rooms available, but Tarin had chosen a window seat.

"Welcome to the Sky Palace, do you have a reservation?" asked the Tiger Morph.

"Yes, the reservation is in the name of Tarin Isard"

The Tiger morph looked at a pad in his right hand. He scrolled the information up the small screen.

"Yes Mister Isard, we have a table for two in the President Room for you, a window seat. I'll take you to your table"

The tiger took them through a large room of tables and chairs to a small more cosy area. The went to the west side of the building. There was a white candle and two places set out. There was white table cloth, the tiger pulled out the chair for Silver and she sat down, he then passed her a menu.

"It's all automatic ordering so press what you want on the menu" commented the Tiger.

Tarin was quite as he looked out into the city, here and there flashes of red marked out the highest points of buildings and landing pads. The night was starting and the air traffic lanes where slowly becoming empty. Here and there a cars and limos coasted through the warm night air.

"You know what they say about revenge?" asked Tarin.

"Hmm, oh I'll have the Toran steaks and side dish, with the white Orat wine,. Desert cloudapple pie"

"An old saying says if you seek revenge, first dig two graves"

"I know, one for your enemy and one for yourself....it's not completely about revenge. It's About Us, he stole my life, my family and for that he will pay the higgest price"

"Make that order times two...I have a thing for cloudapple pie"

The food was brought to the table by a young cheetah girl, she looked like she was just starting out. The two ate and spoke about life and what they had been through so far. The sky was studded with stars and it was quite romantic in many ways.

"Does the lady want to dance?" asked Tarin.

"Very much Tarin"

Tain took Silver's hand and the two went to the dance floor a level below. They dance for an hour and smiled to each other all the time.

After the dance Silhouette went to a videophone. She took a voice scrambler out of a small black hand bag. She keyed in the number of the director's apartment. She also selected no picture. The connection opened.

"Yes?" asked a voice.

"I know you killed my parents, I'm coming to send you to hell director"

"Who is this?"

With that Silhouette hung up and made her way back to Tarin. The Fox was waiting in the reception area for her.

"It's been a wonderful night Tarin, but I have to go now. I mean to carry out my threat"

"Be careful, Silver. Where shall we meet?"

"I always am, do you know the Azalea jump station?"

"I know of it, it was one of the first Hyperwarp jump stations to deep space. Few go out there. I guess it's part of history"

"Meet me there Tarin, I won't be long. We'll have to leave this star sector forever, but I have been making plans for a while"

"I'll meet you there then"

"Thank you, I have to do this...for myself and others"

The Gal-Tech apartments where one of the most lavish buildings in the surrounding residential district. The Director's apartment was on top of the building it contained the entire top floor. Silhouette was watching the building's entrance with a pair of macro-binoculars, there was two police cruisers sitting outside of the apartments. It was obvious to her that the entire building had been locked down.

"A challenge, good I don't like it easy, access the ventilation system and go into the lift shafts, by pass the alarm sensors. Climb up to the penthouse kill the director and blow the place, shaped charge will do it. All I do then is escape in the confusion"

Silver made her way to the rear of the building using the shadows around the buildings. Finding the air ducts was go easy going. She pulled a beam saber from a pocket and activated it. She cut through the duct in four easy cuts through the system and slipped inside. Silhouette made her way through the vent system, most of the upper area's where coated in a thick layer of dust. She was wearing a mask to keep her eyes, nose and mouth. Making her way along into a vertical shaft she stood up and reached into a belt she was wearing. She put a a small grappling hook into what looked into what looked like a starting pistol. She fired and there was a light 'Psssht' noise as she fired. The hook flew upwards to the top of the shaft and landed on a spar across the upper vent. She pulled the cord and checked everything was fine.

"Right, up we go"

Silver attached the cord to a small but powerful winch on her belt and turned it on. Not long afterwards she was on the edge of the upper shaft. She made her way deeper into the vent system.

"Right now we cut into the liftshaft which is just beyond this. Using the beam saber I'll be through quickly"

The time cutting through in the shaft took a while but she was soon ready to make the last cut. She placed what looked like a sink plunger onto the plate she was cutting. She made the last cut and then placed the removed section gently on the floor of the vent shaft. Climbing into the lift shaft she used a cross beam that was there. Reaching down she activated the anti grav boots she was wearing and gradually rose through the shaft, thankfully the lift was at the bottom. She dealt with the sensor alarm half way up the shaft.

"Now just the proximity detector and alarm, they should be near the door. Something does not smell right"

Silhouette stopped where she was and glided to another cross beam in the shaft. She stood on it. She took a small canister from her belt and pulled it pin and threw it as hard as she could. It landed near the lift doors and let out a steady stream of white smoke, it revealed a ruby red laser trap.

"Very clever, but I've seen where the beam comes from"

She took a small blaster off her hip and snapped off a shot. The beam smashed into the circuitry, which blew up into a shower of sparks.

"That's the alarm and detector gone. Now to take care of the director"

Sliver floated up to the lit doors and prised them open and slipped through into the short hallway. She found the director watching the holo-vid channels in the main room. He was to quite and was holding up a hand. Silver put the small blaster away and pulled a blaster rifle off her back.

"Good of you to come Silhouette, I am glad you came. You must of heard that someone threatened to kill me. I'm glad your my friend"

Silhouette shook her head and brushed back her long black and white hair. She brought the rifle up level.

"I'm not here as your friend, but your executioner, Mister Director"

The director stood up and looked right at Silver like she had gone mad. His ears where twitching with concern. He swallowed and started backing away from her.

"You took my life and family away, I've come to take your life in exchange"

Silver was now holding the rifle with it pointing at the director's chest.

"You might be beyond the police of this world, but you are not beyond me. The care is two first degree murders.....execution to be carried out immediately"

Silver fired, a blue ion like beam leapt form the blaster rifle. It was on maximum disruption. The director vanished in a green light as he turned into free floating atoms. For a few moments all that was left was a few twinkling green stars.

"Best set the explosive and get out of here"

Silver pulled a sliver and black cylinder form the backpack she was wearing. She removed the back pack and set it on the floor. There where several touch controls on the cylinder. She made a few corrections to the charge and set it down. She ripped off the tight body suit she was wearing to reveal a black anti-grav suit. It had built in wings. With it she would be able to fly away from the building and make good her escape. She opened a window and then returned to the backpack and cylinder. She reached down and activated the timer, Silver then ran to the window and jumped out. Not long after she made a good distance from the apartments the penthouse blew out.

The Azalea hyperwarp jump station looked like two massive mushrooms connected by a tube between them. The complex contained many landing bays for shuttle craft and some smaller ships and cargo bays. The construct was made from a blue coloured steel. There where offices also a few area's for shops and such. In the distance was the jump gate it's self. The station could fit inside of it many times over. There was a neon blue flash as a ship was accelerated to hyperwarp and vanished through the gate. Many ships where not fitted with a warp drive and used the gates instead.

On the station's promenade deck where many shops selling all kinds of items and objects. Tarin was looking at a very well tailored dress as he was looking a Lemur came up to him.

"Is there anything I can interest you in, Sir?" asked the Lemur.

"This dress how much?" asked Tarin.

"Ah yes that dress to you Sir, three hundred credits"

As Tarin was paying at the counter Silhouette came up behind him and wrapped her arms around him.

"Hello lover boy, what you buying?" asked Silver.

"You'll see later Silver" replied Tarin.

"Here you are sir , thank you for shopping with us. Please call again" said the Lemur as he passed two large flat boxes to Tarin.

"Come on Tarin, we have a starliner to catch" commented Silver.

"Where?" asked Tarin.

"Docking tube three" replied Silver.

Docking tube three was connected to the Starliner Argonaut, boarding had already begun. A young female Kitsune was checking boarding passes. Her three tails moved a little as she was taking each boarding pass and looking at it. She was wearing a low cut blue and white uniform with gold braid along the shoulders of the tunic. Silhouette and Tarin came up to her and passed their boarding passes to her.

"Thank you, your in first class quarters, section eight, deck six. Follow the steward please"

"Thank you" replied Tarin.

"Your welcome" answered the Kitsune.

The quarters they had been given were lavish and quite large. There where a few chairs a couch and other things. In the bedroom there was a large kingsize double bed and few other objects. There was computer terminal in the main room with a food synthesizer. Along one side of the main room was a large viewport. Silhouette and Tarin where watching the starlines slip by.

"It's late and we'll be landing in a few hours. Then a new life for us both" commented Silver.

Tarin looked to her and found her wearing a revealing nightdress. It plunged down her breasts and hugged her hips.

"Come on let's go to bed"

"Well I won't refuse a lady's request" replied Tarin.

"Oh you'd better respect my request little fox"

Silhouette offer her handpaw to Tarin who took it in to his. The feel of her hand against his was something he never really got over. She lead the fox into the bedroom. She pulled back the covers and they got in. She pulled back the covers and kissed the fox.

"Welcome to a new world of pleasure" commented Silver.

"Oh my"

Silhouette smiled and laughed as she gently took the fox in her arms.

Planetry dawn came as the Argonaut crossed the day/night terminator. The ship started to decelerate as it entered high orbit. It would circle the planet a few times and lose speed. The ships drives flared as it headed towards the planet's surface. The ships anti-grav fields came on as it headed towards the surface.

"All passengers please prepare to disembark, on behalf of Nebula starliners we welcome you to New Solvern. All crew to disembarkation stations"

Tarin and Silver where soon waiting as the ship landed and umbilicals were attached and excess fuel was removed to hardened bunkers some distance from the ship. A docking port was extended and locked into the airlocks. Which opened both the inner and outer doors of the air-locks. Not long afterwards Tarin and Silver where standing on the concourse.

"Well our new lives start now" commented Tarin.

"That's right and don't ever forget, I love you Tarin" replied Silver.

"How can I ever forget" commented Tarin.
